Support Safe Harbour
Safe Harbour relies heavily on monetary and in-kind donations from individuals and organizations in their continuing efforts to help
the homeless. No donation is too small or too large and all donations are tax deductable. Donations can be made in-person or by
mail. Receipts for donations will be sent to you via mail.

Donations may also be securely made online via PAYPAL using your credit card. You do not need a PayPal account to make a

Volunteers are always welcome at Safe Harbour and there are many ways you can lend a helping hand to residents and staff.
Volunteers are needed to assist residents, provide transportation, help with work projects and other activities. To volunteer or for
more information, simply submit your information by clicking the button below, call the Safe Harbour office, or if you're close by, stop in.

Playtime Supervisor
Volunteers are needed to supervise activities and play with children in our playroom while parents do their chores. Flexible
evening schedule.

Parent Support
Volunteers are needed to assist in programs and activities for to help them learn how to interact positively with others. Tutors are
also needed for kids who need special help with school.

Child Care
Parents occasionally need babysitters to play with, attend to and nurture children while they are off-site.

Resident Mentor
Volunteers are needed to establish a relationship of support with a single resident or family for an extended period of time.
Many work with parents and children together to give guidance and support.

Provide Transportation
Volunteers provide transportation for clients to appointments or other activities on an "as-needed" basis.

Sort and Store Donations
Volunteers are needed to help sort and store donated clothing or linens. Come in weekdays of your choice between 9 a.m. and 3
p.m. for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Manage Toys and Playroom
Once or twice monthly, volunteers reorganize the playroom, disposing of broken or inappropriate toys and cleaning toys and shelves
when necessary. (Excellent group project)

Work Projects
Volunteers are needed for special projects such as painting, carpentry, moving furniture, cleaning rooms and halls, bulk mailing and
projects requiring office or computer skills.

There may be other ways for you to contribute your time. Safe Harbour is always looking for people with special expertise and skills
that could improve the life skills of our residents. Help in ways not presently being provided is welcomed.
